Octobank Named “Best Digital Bank” and “Best Bank for Treasury Activities in Uzbekistan” by Global Banking & Finance Awards 2026
Today, Octobank serves over 3.6 million clients, and its international infrastructure spans key financial hubs across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
JSC "Octobank" has become a laureate of the prestigious Global Banking & Finance Awards 2026, joining a select group of banks in the region to receive international recognition in two strategic areas of banking simultaneously.
According to the awards results, the bank emerged as the winner in the following categories:
• Best Digital Bank Uzbekistan 2026
• Best Bank for Treasury Activities Uzbekistan 2026
The Best Digital Bank Uzbekistan 2026 award validates the bank's continuous efforts to evolve digital financial services and expand international capabilities for its clients.
A core focus has been the development of cross-border payment services for citizens of Uzbekistan working, studying, and conducting business abroad. Throughout 2025–2026, Octobank launched direct transfers to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan's largest fintech application, Kaspi.kz, and the South Korean payment platform, E9pay, making international transfers faster, more convenient, and highly accessible.
In parallel, the bank consistently enhanced its digital ecosystem. Users gained access to investment opportunities via the JETT platform, international payment services powered by Alipay+, and the innovative palm-vein biometric payment technology, MyID Palm. Today, Octobank’s active client base exceeds 3.6 million individuals.
The second accolade — Best Bank for Treasury Activities Uzbekistan 2026 — highlights the bank's outstanding milestones in developing its treasury infrastructure.
Over recent years, Octobank has significantly expanded its correspondent network and built a comprehensive operational framework for treasury instruments across global financial markets, including Money Market, FX Market, Interbank Deposit Market, Derivatives Market, and Custody Market, providing clients with direct access to financial markets in North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and ASEAN countries via Bloomberg and Refinitiv platforms.
Furthermore, the bank is actively pioneering new vectors of international cooperation, including partnerships in India, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States. Expanding the correspondent network accelerates international settlement speeds, lowers transaction costs, and creates additional opportunities for clients engaged in foreign economic activities.
"We are deeply grateful to the international expert community for this high evaluation of Octobank's achievements. Receiving two Global Banking & Finance Awards simultaneously proves the efficiency of our strategy, which is anchored in developing cutting-edge digital services and a robust international financial infrastructure. We will continue to scale our global partnerships, invest heavily in technology, and create new avenues of growth for our retail and corporate clients both within Uzbekistan and far beyond its borders," stated Sardor Shavkiev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at Octobank.
The Global Banking & Finance Awards were established in 2011 to honor innovation and excellence within the global financial community. Participants are recognized for delivering significant performance results and pioneering innovative practices and strategic approaches in banking.
